Salads
Ah, salad. That's all vegetarians eat, right? Of course not! But most of us do eat a fair amount of salad, and personally, I get tired of eating the same old lettuce every day. Here are recipes for some of my favorite salads.

Salade niçoise
Chickpeas or tofu can be used in place of the traditional tuna fish or anchovies for this vegetarian salade niçoise recipe.

Salsa
This spicy tomato sauce is ubiquitous in Mexican restaurants. Serve it with anything that needs a bit of zing.

Sambar
This is a recipe for sambar, probably the most universal dish of South India. It has been adapted for the cooler climate of Monterey Bay. This recipe was submitted by a forum member.

For quick, healthy, and tasty meals, nothing beats a vegetarian sandwich.

This traditional Spanish drink goes well with spicy foods, is delicious in summer, and works well as a party punch bowl.
